Westside Baseball Opening Day – Saturday, May 2nd
We are excited to officially kick off the season with our Opening Day Celebration on Saturday, May 2nd. We invite all players, families, and friends to join us for a fun-filled evening as we celebrate the start of our season together.
Schedule for the Day
4:30 PM – Players arrive and line up with their teams for the parade
5:00 PM – Parade begins around the complex
5:00–6:00 PM – Opening Day Ceremonies on Bronco Field
After Ceremonies 6:00– Games will begin
After Sunset 8:00PM– Movie Night featuring Little Big League on the field
Parade & Ceremony Details
House players will participate in a parade with their teams around the complex.
Our travel teams will serve as the Welcome Guard as players make their way onto Bronco Field, cheering on our house players as they enter the field.
Travel and House families, we are excited for you to come out and support the start of our
Player Food
All players will receive:
🌭 A hot dog
🍿 A bag of popcorn
🥤 A soda
Special Guest Appearance
We are excited to welcome Boomer, the mascot from the Windy City ThunderBolts, who will be joining us to support Westside. Boomer will be walking around throughout the evening, taking pictures with players and families, and helping us celebrate Opening Day.
Parking Information – Opening Day & Season Reminder
Parking in our main WBOL lot is limited and fills quickly. Once the lot is full, it will be closed, so please plan accordingly.
Additional parking:
⚠️ Please note: several “No Parking” zones are actively enforced by signage.
Handicap Parking:
Handicap parking will remain available even if the main lot is full. If you have a handicap placard, please inform the lot attendant for assistance.
