Doors will open at 9:00am and will close promptly at 2:00pm, NO EXCEPTIONS! Please be considerate of the volunteers' time! You will enter the Johnston Center through the doors on the south side of the building. Once you enter, you will need to provide our team members with your name, your child's or children's name(s), and be ready to present your $100 volunteer deposit check. Please make checks payable to Westside Baseball of Oak Lawn and put your child's name and team in the notes section. If you do not have a checking account, you can provide us with $100 in cash. It must be in an envelope marked with your name, your child or children's name(s), and your contact information (phone and email). Do not seal the envelope, it will need to be counted. If you have already completed your 10 hours of volunteer service we will inform you at the check in for uniform pick up (we will try our best to email everyone beforehand, but that is a lot of work for one volunteer to take on) Coaches and team moms, you will still need to present the league with a $100 check. This is to ensure that you complete your duties as a coach and/or team mom, and for coaches to ensure you return your equipment bags. Your next stop will be the Volunteer Sign Up Sheets. We recommend having your schedule handy so you can pick your dates and times accordingly. Once you sign up for some volunteer hours you will be directed to pick up your uniforms. If you are unable to attend, we highly recommend sending a relative or friend with a check or cash in your place as the only makeup date will be on Picture Day! If you are unable to attend or to find someone to go in your place, we would suggest getting to Picture Day early to ensure you have time to pickup your uniform before pictures are taken. The primary responsibility for volunteers at Picture Day will be the handling Picture Day related duties. If you are picking up your uniform on this date and do not arrive early, you risk your player not having their uniform in time for pictures. If all 10 volunteer hours are not completed by August 5th, your check or cash will be deposited. NO EXCEPTIONS! For those participants who did not "opt out" of volunteering at Registration and complete 0 hours of volunteer time, you will be required to pay the additional $50 dollars for either the Fall 2024 season, or the Spring 2025 season. You will not be allowed to register until the balance is paid
